Feast of masculinity

Manti Morihara refers to a Japanese cuisine, which uses the male body as a serving instrument to practice the worship and beautiful imagination of the male body.
Influenced by the male body display in the network, I gradually began to examine my own body and imagine the male body of others, on the one hand, I think that my body is not sexy enough, on the other hand, the male body seems to always intervene in the sexual imagination with the inherent role of sexual subject. Therefore, I wanted to make a work to break the false and eternal subjectivity of male "bodybuilding and majestic".
I gaze at the male body and present a sexual image based on the male body by doing 12 dishes. In many Chinese foods, the female body is stared at and constructed, such as bra cakes and platters with fairy or sexy female shapes. And in many languages and cultures, "dish" can refer to "object of sexual satisfaction", so there is a close relationship between food and sex and power. "Food and sex" is a famous saying in ancient China, which regards diet and sex as two important propositions of human beings. I take rice as the basic food to build an image, strengthen the relationship between rice, a staple food, and sex, and at the same time, look for sexual associations among common food ingredients, and present the male genitalia, male anus and sex between men that I gaze at (only men can become the absolute object of gaze in male sex). Finally, combined with the stereotypical construction of masculinity in the network, Present them playfully.

The work does not aim to mock the male body, but invites the viewer to imagine the imperfect male sexual image in order to gain a variety of perspectives, and this perspective is also a kind of power.
